Fire-Rescue Academy Training Opportunities
The Baltimore County Fire-Rescue Academy offers a number of training opportunities. Additional classes are offered by the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI) are also available. If you do not see your class listed below, please visit the MFRI website. The FRA does not accept or process MFRI class registrations through this site. Applications for these classes must be completed through MFRI's wesbite.

All career or volunteer members wishing to take the classes below must obtain medical clearance for acceptance into the class. Career members must have a current Form 503 on file with the Fire Department's Safety Office. Volunteer members must have a current physical on file with the Fire Department's Safety Office.

FEMA Student Identification Number
Some courses which are funded by federal grants require the student to obtain a Student Identification Number (SID) for use on the National Fire Academy (NFA) form at the time of registration. All students should ensure they have their SID by visiting the FEMA SID Registration and Management System and following the links on the right side of the screen to register, update information, obtain a forgotten SID, or reset a password.
