Volunteer Weekend Registration - PLEASE READ FIRST!

The Baltimore County Volunteer Weekend is a joint training program between the Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighter's Association and the Baltimore County Fire-Rescue Academy.  This weekend provides the MFRI Hazardous Materials/WMD Awareness Class and initial CPR Training.  Unless impacted by a holiday, this weekend is typically the first weekend of each month.  If you are a new member and wish to register for one or both of these programs, please read the below information carefully before submitting your application.

General Registration Information
Registration is limited to 40 members per month.  The HMA class will be held on Saturday from 8:00 am until approximately 4:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  This class covers an orientation to the Baltimore County Fire Service and the MFRI Hazardous Materials/WMD Awareness Program.  Students should plan on packing a lunch for Saturday.  Please note on Sunday there is a written final exam.  You must receive a 70% or better in order to pass the class.

The CPR class is held on Sunday from 8:00 am until noon.   This day covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training.

Both classes are held at Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Company.

Members who are seated in the program will receive a seating confirmation no less than TEN (10) days prior to the start of the class with further information.  Please be advised that for the MFRI HMA Class you will need to complete a separate registration through MFRI.  If you do not complete both registrations you will not be seated in the class. Also, for the HMA Class there is REQUIRED PRE-COURSE work which must be completed prior to attending.  All pre-course work is due on the Thursday prior to the class at 1700 hours. Failure to complete said assignments will result in you not being allowed to attend the class.
